I mentioned here about various affiliate programs, in particular the Amazon Affiliate Program (Amazon Associates), and some of the pros ands cons of the systems.
One major benefit that many people forget when talking about Amazon is the ability to benefit from visitors checking out your products who, in turn, go and buy something else while shopping on Amazon in the same session. In other words, you could be selling a yoga mat and your customer went and purchased a big screen TV – yes, you get paid commission on the TV. 
Here is what happened to me – no, they didn’t buy a TV, but you’ll get the idea.
